Job summary

D4S DY-4 Systems Inc. in Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking a hands-on Sustaining Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional team and oversee sustaining product development and manufacturing support.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, 8+ years in electronics, and proven leadership. You will drive process improvements, manage ECR/ECO activity, and collaborate with R&D, manufacturing and quality to sustain product lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; 8+ years in electronics computing.
• Prior managerial or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience solving complex engineering problems with mature judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to liaise with customers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a highly knowledgeable engineering team.
• Manage work assignments and career development of Sustaining Team staff.
• Promote quality standards and continuous improvement.
• Support product development phases to ensure sustaining needs are met.
• Lead ECR to ECO processes to support development and manufacturing.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Quality to sustain product lines.
