Job summary

Definity Financial Corporation in Waterloo, ON invites a Sustainability Integration Co-op/Intern to join our team this Winter 2027. You will support sustainability, IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility), and community investment initiatives, collaborating with internal stakeholders on climate project deliverables and grant administration.

You’ll analyze data, engage employees, and promote inclusion initiatives while building relationships and delivering results in a hybrid work

What can you expect in this role?

Reporting to the Sr. Sustainability Integration Manager, the successful candidate will support sustainability, IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility), and community investment initiatives. Key areas include working with internal stakeholders to assist with climate project deliverables, project coordinating employee engagement and inclusion initiatives as well as grant administration and data analysis to identify social impact themes and trends.

• Currently enrolled in a degree in Sustainability, Environment, Community Development, Business, or related
• Passion for shaping a more sustainable, connected, and equitable world
• Ability to build strong relationships and champion new ideas
• Strong communications skills (written/verbal)
• Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data using Excel
• Results oriented with project management skills and commitment to meeting deadlines
• Team player but also feel comfortable working independently

The hourly compensation for the role starts at $22.50 per hour and will increase based on factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, and the recommended rates as set by the respective educational institution.
