Job summary

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran seeks a Sustainability Analyst to manage environmental data, GHG accounting, and energy metrics in a mining setting. The role supports SIMS deployment, regulatory reporting, and continuous improvement across McIlvenna Bay operations.

You will liaise with site teams to prepare data for corporate disclosures, implement energy efficiency initiatives, and advance decarbonization KPIs aligned with low-carbon targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, data analytics, sustainability, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of sustainability data analysis, GHG accounting, or energy management in mining/heavy industry.
  • Experience with GHG accounting protocols and ESG data workflows.
  • Strong Excel/data modeling and data package preparation for audits.
  • Familiarity with ISSB/CSRD/SASB and ISO 50001 standards is a plus.
  • Proficient with MS Office; detail-oriented with strong communication skills.

Sustainability Analyst – 2026-125

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Sustainability Analyst to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full‑time position based at the Saskatoon Office.

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a cornerstone asset and one of the most significant copper development projects in Canada. With commercial production expected in the second half of 2026, this world‑class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. Sustainability, energy efficiency, and climate accounting is central to Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan’s (EGS) business strategy. The Sustainability Analyst, plays a key technical role in managing environmental data, maintaining greenhouse gas (GHG) and energy accounting models, supporting the implementation of the Sustainability Integrated Management System (SIMS), and configuring enterprise software tools. Reporting to the Manager, Sustainability and Regulatory, the Sustainability Analyst will serve as the primary bridge of site operational metrics with corporate disclosure, funding commitments, and sustainability reporting requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead energy and greenhouse gas management and reduction initiatives including:
    • Net zero transition planning development, monitoring/tracking and adjustment.
    • Energy management plan development, implementation, monitoring/tracking and adjustment.
    • Greenhouse gas inventories and associated work instructions and procedures for Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions across the company and for specific operations.
    • Energy inventories for direct and indirect energy consumption and associated work instructions and procedures across the company and for specific operations.
    • Third party (external) verification of Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas inventories for the company and for specific operations, where required, in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with the operations department to promote awareness around energy usage and develop strategies to reduce energy costs and track continuous improvement.
    • Staying current with technological advancements and be the EGS subject matter expert related to energy solutions.
    • Maintain, update, and refine energy baselines, carbon accounting models, and decarbonization KPIs to track progress against low carbon targets.
    • Design and deliver internal training programs, campaigns and awareness workshops to foster a culture of sustainability and energy conservation across site operations.
  • Support regulatory compliance data compilation and prepare technical documentation for external third-party GHG verifications and audits.
  • Support the setup, configuration, and data integration for data management platforms, establishing QA/QC protocols for metrics.
  • Compile and verify ESG indicators mapped to global disclosure frameworks while monitoring evolving global reporting standards and regulatory mandates to maintain alignment and compliance.
  • Support the rollout and administration of the Sustainability Integrated Management System (SIMS) across site operations including assessment, gap analysis and improvement projects.

Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, data analytics, sustainability, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of progressive professional experience in sustainability data analysis, GHG accounting, or energy management within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
  • Demonstrated experience with GHG accounting protocols (ISO 14064 / GHG Protocol), data collection workflows, and working with ESG software platforms.
  • Strong numerical literacy, advanced Excel/data modeling skills, and experience preparing data packages for external audit assurance.
  • Familiarity with global reporting standards (ISSB/CSRD/SASB) and energy management systems (ISO 50001) is considered a strong asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and data integrity.
  • Strong team player capable of communicating technical data requirements clearly to cross-functional site personnel.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $125,000/year based on experience and qualifications, along with an annual discretionary short-term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
