As a Surveying Technician on Pomerleau's Civil Engineering & Infrastructure team, you'll work closely with all workers to ensure coordination of the work. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to more than $1 billion - you'll have the opportunity to accompany and support the team member and participate in the completion of work according to specifications.

What You Will Do
  1. Land surveying: Use surveying instruments to measure and record topographic data;
  2. Set up points and benchmarks: Place benchmarks on site to guide construction work (underground services, curbs, sidewalks, paving, etc.);
  3. Communicate information: Ensure that all project participants have the information they need to make progress;
  4. Monitoring and control: Supervise and inspect work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications;
  5. Work as part of a team, maintain a pleasant and trusting working environment, communicate effectively with colleagues and other trades on site;
  6. Perform all other related tasks associated with operations.
This role could be for you if you have
  1. A valid CCQ occupation card
  2. DEP, AEC or Certificate in surveying or civil engineering
  3. 1 to 2 years' experience on a civil construction site
  4. An ASP Construction & WHMIS 2015 card
  5. Valid Class 5 driver's license
  6. Proficiency in surveying tools (robotized total station, GPS)
