Job Type: Full-time or Part-time, Permanent

Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year

Insight Surveys Corp, headquartered in Vancouver, is actively seeking a skilled Survey Technician to join our accomplished team. As specialists in cutting-edge survey solutions, we contribute significantly to the success of diverse projects across Vancouver and its surrounding areas.

YOUR ROLE:

  1. Utilize advanced survey equipment and software for processing and analyzing survey data.
  2. Generate accurate 3D surfaces, contours, alignments, and cross sections to facilitate project development.
  3. Conduct thorough research on survey records and land titles to acquire crucial information.
  4. Collaborate seamlessly with Project Managers to ensure the timely delivery of projects.
  5. Implement rigorous quality control measures on survey data and various survey plans.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  1. A diploma or degree in Geomatics, Civil or Environmental Engineering Technology from a recognized post-secondary institution preferred.
  2. More than 5 years hand-on extensive field surveying experience is essential.
  3. Preference for local experience, familiarity with the local landscape and regulations.
  4. Ability to interpret construction and survey plans is imperative and crucial for success in the role.
  5. Expertise with Robotic Total Station, proficiency in operating a robotic total station is fundamental to delivering precise survey measurements.
  6. Demonstrated expertise in operating Leica survey equipment will be given top priority. Proficiency in MicroSurvey CAD, MicroSurvey (MSCAD), Revit, or Autodesk Civil 3D will be considered advantageous.
  7. Familiarity with BC land titles systems.
  8. A valid Class 5 Driver's License is mandatory, essential for on-site requirements.
  9. Given the physical demands of field surveying, the ideal candidate should be physically fit and capable of consistently lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs.
  10. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  11. Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work permit is required.
