Job summary

Connexa Group in Saskatoon, SK is seeking a Survey Assistant to support our survey crews across Saskatchewan. The role offers growth into a party chief position with an innovative geomatics-focused company, requiring basic survey exposure and a willingness to learn.

You will assist with GPS setup, data collection and field tasks, traveling with crews to sites in Saskatoon, Regina and across the province while maintaining safety and clear site communication.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence required.
• Willingness to travel within Saskatchewan and work outdoors in all seasons.

Responsibilities

• Support party chiefs on construction, municipal and legal survey projects across Saskatchewan.
• Assist field crews and operate GPS and survey equipment.
• Set up, use and look after survey equipment.
• Collect survey data and perform field tasks as directed by party chief.
• Communicate clearly with trades, coworkers and clients on site.

We're looking for a Survey Assistant in Saskatoon, SK to support our survey crews across Saskatchewan. Ideally, you have some survey experience or a civil or geomatics technology background, and want to grow into a party chief role with an innovative, forward-thinking company.

The Work:

• Support our party chiefs on construction, municipal and legal survey projects across Saskatchewan
• Work with crews out of Saskatoon and Regina, especially during the busy season
• Set up, use and look after GPS and other survey equipment
• Collect survey data and help with other field tasks as directed by your party chief
• Communicate clearly with trades, coworkers and clients on site
• Follow safety protocols and help keep the work site safe
• Work outdoors in all seasons and weather, and travel within the province when projects call for it

What you bring to the table:

• A high school diploma and an interest in the geomatics industry
• Post-secondary education in geomatics or civil engineering technology is an asset
• Experience on a survey crew is an asset
• A valid Class 5 driver's licence
• Current First Aid certification is an asset (we'll train you if needed)
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test when required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
