Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard (FT) in Burnaby, British Columbia. The role involves monitoring premises, patrolling, addressing threats, and maintaining security while delivering customer service.

The position offers fixed shifts—Sun, Tue, Wed, Fri 12:00-20:00 and Sat 04:00-20:00—with uniform provided and opportunities for career growth. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada and hold a BC security worker license; training is supported through GardaWorld

Qualifications

• Be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid BC security worker license.
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills and report writting skills.
• Candidate must be able to comply with workplace safety requirements, including proper respirator fit-testing and the safe use of PPE.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the premises to ensure security.
• Conduct patrols to spot any suspicious activity.
• Address incidents or potential threats quickly.
• Write detailed reports on events and incidents.
• Control access points and check identification.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security.
• Partner with authorities during serious situations.
