Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard for an institutional facility in Orillia, Ontario. The role requires vigilance, strong observation, and the ability to monitor multiple security systems to protect premises.

Positions available include full-time and part-time shifts with competitive hourly pay, GardaWorld Academy training, and opportunities for career growth. Uniforms are provided, and on-site duties include access control and rapid response to incidents.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification required.
• Hold a valid Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight with the ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies.

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalat in environments such as security operation centres , call centres, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Schedule:

Full-time - Mondays to Fridays (16:00 - 00:00)

Part-time - Saturdays only (06:00 - 18:00)

Location: L3V 7V3
