Job summary

GardaWorld in London, Ontario is looking for a Surveillance Security Guard to monitor CCTV, manage access control, respond to incidents, and conduct regular patrols to keep the premises safe.

Eligible candidates must be authorized to work in Canada, hold an Ontario Security and Drivers license, and have First Aid certification. Strong report writing and the ability to stand and walk during shifts are essential. GardaWorld offers full-time employment with uniform provided.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.

• Conduct regular foot/vehicle patrols to ensure safety.
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor IDs.
• Analyze security systems for vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Coordinate with law enforcement in serious situations.

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escal in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Access control
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot / vehicle patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Qualifications For Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a currently valid Ontario Security and Drivers license
• First aid certification required
