Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Mirabel is seeking a plating operator to perform chrome, zinc-nickel, and nickel plating processes for aerospace components. The role involves preparing parts, applying electrodeposition, and inspecting finished work to ensure high-quality standards.

You will use measurement tools, read blueprints, and participate in bath certifications while adhering to safety and quality protocols. Evening shift and competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (D.E.P) in surface treatment, aeronautical mechanical assembly, structural assembly, welding-assembly, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in manual work or in the manufacturing field.
  • Knowledge of reading plans (an asset).
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Rigor and sense of priorities.
  • Autonomy and attention to detail.
  • Analytical mind and initiative.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Control conditions of high strength parts at all stages of the process.
  • Prepare and assemble parts with anodes and masks.
  • Perform electrolytic deposits (cadmium, chrome, or nickel plating).
  • Apply and control plating parameters on electronic interfaces.
  • Use digital and analog measuring instruments.
  • Participate in certifying plating baths.
  • Inspect parts.
