Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Mirabel is seeking a committed technician to grind attachment points on main landing gear components for Airbus and Boeing programs. You will use air-powered tools, inspect parts with calipers and micrometers, and ensure accuracy per specifications.

Night shift operates from 00:10 to 6:40, with potential variations. A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork is essential, along with training progression and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • DEP in aircraft structure assembly or DES (equivalence not accepted).
  • Experience with manual grinding or assembly in aerospace is an asset.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and use measuring instruments (calipers and micrometers).

Responsibilities

  • Grind attachment points of main landing gear components with air-powered hand tools or semi-automatic equipment.
  • Inspect parts with measuring instruments to ensure specifications.
  • Machine with a lathe and install rings; apply sealant; complete QA documentation.

The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major components of landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.You will perform, using air-powered hand tools or semi-automatic equipment, the grinding of attachment points of main landing gear components according to specifications.
