Job summary

Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) invites students to join the Surface Land Administration team in Calgary for hands-on experience in planning, data integrity, and project support.

The role is 8 or 12 months, starting May 2027, with a 5 on, 2 off shift (8 hours/day, Monday–Friday). Relocation assistance may be available per policy; multiple community volunteering opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in the Energy Asset Management Program or a related post-secondary education program.
• Experience with Accumap, Abadata, and provincial databases.
• General knowledge of the surface lifecycle.
• General knowledge of the Acts and Directives.

Responsibilities

• Help facilitate abandonment and reclamation projects and understand activities related to the program.
• Ensure data integrity/maintenance of surface files.
• Assist with capital projects and understand the role of surface land in acquiring wells and facilities.
• Assist with procedure review and updating.
• Support the third-party process and understand liability and regulations associated to granting consent.
• Ad-hoc projects as required.
