Job summary

Boart Longyear Ltd. in Canada is recruiting Diamond Driller Assistants to support surface drilling projects across multiple sites. You will help with gear, sampling, and basic field tasks while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role demands physical fitness, ability to follow instructions, and readiness to work outdoors in varying conditions. A First Aid certificate and basic literacy are required; previous drilling exposure is an asset.

Qualifications

• Valid First Aid Certificate.
• Sufficient language, literacy, and numeracy skills to perform all tasks.
• Labor background is an asset.
• Exposure to diamond drilling environments is an asset.
• Must meet Fitness for Duty program standards.
• Common Core is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safety is PARAMOUNT; follow all policies, procedures and laws.
• Safely perform duties and care for equipment and co-workers.
• Maintain equipment and tools for optimum life.
• May train new Driller Assistants in a safe environment.
• Be physically fit for work and follow supervisor directions.
• Work safely, apply risk controls, and assist drilling operations.
• Handle rods/tools, collect samples, mix drilling fluids, perform basic maintenance.
• Operate non-drilling equipment as required and maintain records.
