Overview

Residential Support Worker - CQC at Cambian Shap Road, Kendal. Contract type: Part Time, Permanent (21 hours per week). Salary: From £12.36 per hour (Unqualified) to £13.05 (Qualified). Closing Date: Wednesday 29 October 2025.

Location: Kendal. Working hours per week: 21. Salary: £13,497.12 up to £14,250.60 per annum.

Role Details

Position: Residential Support Worker. You will be part of a large supportive care team who work holistically across Care, Therapeutic & Clinical services to deliver specialist residential services to those with additional and complex needs, including Autism, severe learning disabilities and complex health needs. The home is a registered 4-bedroom house for young adults, offering support to live as independently as possible and to be part of the local community.

Shift pattern: Every Monday 08:00-22:00 and every other weekend (Sat or Sun) 08:00-22:00. Working hours: 21 hours per week on average.

  • Support young adults with their care and social needs, helping them complete activities and improve independence.
  • Bring knowledge and ideas to the team to enrich residents’ lives, confidence and resilience.
  • Join a diverse team across Care, Therapeutic & Clinical services to deliver holistic residential care.

  • Interest in career development and training; Care Certificate Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care may be pursued.
