Job description

Looking for a role where every day feels worthwhile?

Fancy a career where you get to know people, help them enjoy life their way, and finish each day knowing you've made a difference? Whether you're starting your career, thinking about a change, or looking for a job with more purpose, we'd love to hear from you!

We're looking for Support Practitioners in Irvine, Kilwinning, Saltcoats and Ardrossan, with part-time opportunities available from 16–30 hours per week.

What you will be doing - its all about people

You’ll support individuals with physical and learning disabilities to live life to the fullest, make their own choices, develop their independence and enjoy the things that matter to them.

That might mean helping with everyday routines, exploring hobbies, getting out into the community, trying something new or simply being there to offer encouragement.

Everyone is different, and that's what makes this role so rewarding. You'll get to know each person, discover what they enjoy and support them to live life their way.

Why you'll love it here

You’ll have a meaningful job doing things that you enjoy – it often doesn't feel like work

No uniform – we wear our own casual clothes

We fund up to £500 towards driving lessons

We reimburse your SSSC registration and PVG fees

Access to professional development and career progression opportunities

Recommend a colleague bonus scheme

Long service awards

Access to a 24/7 independent employee assistance helpline

26 days annual leave (rising by 5 days after 5 years) plus 4 paid bank holidays

Family friendly leave options, including family, parental, bereavement and special leave

Access to lots of discounts, including the cinema, gym memberships, holidays and shopping

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Please note – If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre‑employment checks.
