Position: Chemical Support Engineer

As a Chemical Support Engineer, you will be the primary support for your district to ensure treatment chemicals and equipment are used effectively, economically, and safely at accounts within the district. You will also assist and work alongside sales account managers with the design and implementation of treatment programs.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct routine service visits and testing to ensure safe and effective treatment programs within the pulp and paper industry.
2. Update databases and generate weekly service reports.
3. Assist with technical issues at customer sites, develop corrective action plans, and keep sales account managers informed.
4. Identify growth opportunities at existing customers and assist with prospecting at new accounts.
5. Analyze data to evaluate program performance.
6. Perform routine monitoring and maintenance of feed equipment.
7. Participate in technical training for skill and knowledge advancement.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Science or a related technical field.
2. Ability to solve complex and non-routine technical problems.
3. Strong relationship management skills.
4. Industry and customer literacy, or ability to quickly learn industry and Solenis technologies.
5. Drive for results and proactive problem-solving.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
7. Residency within the La Tuque area.
8. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
9. Valid Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Record.
