Job summary

Legislative Assembly of Ontario invites applications for a Support Analyst in the Technology Services Branch. You will collaborate with IT professionals to deliver timely IT service desk support in a politically sensitive setting.

The role requires a post-secondary IT diploma with 1–3 years’ experience, solid knowledge of Windows 10, Office 365, Azure, PowerShell, and experience with SharePoint, Teams, and VPN/VoIP.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma in Information Technology and 1–3 years’ experience or equivalent delivering IT services in a team environment.
  • Expertise in Microsoft technologies including Office 365, Azure and Active Directory management using PowerShell.
  • Desktop compute environment knowledge: Windows 10 and Office 2016/Office 365.
  • Experience with ERP and collaboration apps such as SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, Teams, Zoom.
  • Experience supporting users on-site and remotely using VPN, VoIP.
  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN networking; TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and RDP.
  • Experience with service desk ticketing systems and remote user support is an asset.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent oral/written communication.
  • Experience in project teamwork, technical documentation, and researching technology issues.

What You’ll Do

You’ll act with integrity to:

You’ll support our collaboration as you:

  • Problem-solve to resolve IT incidents quickly, in a high-pressure ITIL Service Desk environment.
  • Provide support to users to minimize interruptions in computer services.

How You Qualify

You demonstrate excellence through your:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Information Technology and, one to three years’ experience or equivalent delivering IT services in a team environment to support organizational goals.
  • Expertise in current Microsoft Technologies e.g. Cloud Computing, Office 365, Azure and Active Directory Management using PowerShell.
  • Expert knowledge of Desktop Compute environment: Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016/Office 365.
  • Practical Experience with ERP and Collaboration application e.g. SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, Teams, Zoom.
  • Experience in Supporting users interactively onsite and remotely using VPN, VoIP.
  • Familiarity with LAN, WAN Networking protocols e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and RDP.
  • Previous experience on a Service Desk ticketing system, processing telephone inquiries, and remote user support is a definite asset.
  • Strong service-oriented attitude complemented by a good understanding of customer service as well as well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with project teamwork, writing technical documentation and researching technology issues.
