Job summary

Heart Beatz Child, Youth and Family Centre is seeking a reliable Supply Staff member to provide casual and on-call coverage for our Youth programs. You will support welcoming and inclusive youth programming, supervise activities, and work with the Youth Engagement Workers to promote social, emotional, physical and cognitive development in youth within the community.

Flexibility is essential: shifts vary with program needs, and staff must communicate availability on short notice and adhere to

Qualifications

• CYC or CYW certification is required.

• Work with the Youth Engagement Workers to develop and implement programs promoting youth development.
• Create inclusive, culturally responsive experiences reflecting families and communities served.
• Maintain active supervision and a safe, welcoming program environment.
• Collaborate with Youth Engagement Workers, the Youth Coordinator and the Program Manager.
• Follow Heart Beatz policies, confidentiality and health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

• Provide coverage when regular Youth Staff are absent or additional support is required.
• Support welcoming and inclusive programs for Youth.
• Work efficiently and effectively in a team environment to aid the Youth Engagement Workers in the development and implementation of programs and services for youth within the Community. These programs and services will promote their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
• Create inclusive and culturally responsive experiences that reflect the families and communities we serve.
• Maintain active supervision and a safe, clean, welcoming program environment.
• Work collaboratively with the Youth Engagement Workers, the Youth Coordinator, and the Program Manager.
• Follow Heart Beatz policies, procedures, confidentiality, and health and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• CYC or CYW are mandatory

Availability Requirements:

• Candidates must have flexible weekday availability and be willing to work shifts based on program and staffing needs.
• Applicants must be available on short notice when required. Because this is a supply position, shifts are not guaranteed and may be offered due to staff absences, vacation coverage, special programs, or increased program needs.
• Reliability and consistent communication regarding availability are essential.
