This role is based in our Oakville office and reports to the Supply Planning Manager.

Job Summary

The Supply Planner ensures that production build plans are optimized to meet and exceed organizational objectives for customer service and inventory health for a portfolio of approximately 1500 SKUs.

The Supply Planner acts as a key point for identifying detailed supply risks, highlighting trade-offs to stakeholders, collaborating cross-functionally, and solving problems to meet supply objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed supply plans in the short to mid-term for assigned product categories to achieve customer service and inventory goals, aligned with capacity plans.
  • Proactively identify and communicate potential supply issues, conducting scenario analysis.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Planning, and Production Scheduling to resolve issues and prioritize trade-offs during shortages.
  • Provide master production schedules to production schedulers based on sales priorities for optimal scheduling.
  • Collaborate on raw material replenishment to mitigate supply risks.
  • Guide inventory deployment to balance stock across locations, achieving fill rate and inventory targets.
  • Maintain planning master data and address non-productive inventory in line with Inventory Quality Ratio objectives.
  • Take timely actions to minimize deviations from the supply plan.
  • Escalate issues promptly and use judgment to intervene as needed to meet KPIs for fill rates and inventory levels.
  • Create inventory projection reports for capacity planning, financial visibility, and working capital management.

Inventory Build Strategy

Develop strategies for inventory buildup to support supply chain objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Computers, Data Analytics, or Engineering.
  • Additional credentials like CPIM and Lean manufacturing are advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of relevant supply planning experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing or CPG sectors, or transferable skills.
  • Experience with supply planning software, especially SAP IBP, is preferred.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused with results-driven attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Power BI is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
