We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Supply Planner.

This role is based in our Oakville office and reports to the Supply Planning Manager.

Job Summary

The Supply Planner ensures that the production build plans are optimized to achieve and exceed organizational objectives for service to customers and inventory health, managing a portfolio of approximately 1500+ SKUs.

The Supply Planner acts as a focal point for identifying detailed supply risks, highlighting trade-off decisions to key stakeholders, collaborating cross-functionally, and problem-solving to meet supply objectives.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  1. Creates detailed supply plans in the short to mid-term horizon for assigned product categories to achieve customer service and inventory health objectives, aligned with the rough-cut capacity plan.
  2. Proactively identifies and communicates potential supply issues impacting the business. Conducts ‘what-if’ analysis for supply scenarios.
  3. Develops strong relationships with internal stakeholders including Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Planning functions, and Production Scheduling to problem-solve and align on priorities and trade-offs during supply shortages.
  4. Provides master production schedules to production schedulers based on priorities set by Sales to create the optimal finite production schedule.
  5. Works closely with colleagues on raw material replenishment to mitigate supply risks.
  6. Provides instructions for inventory deployment, balancing inventory between locations to meet fill rate and inventory days objectives.
  7. Maintains planning master data and addresses non-productive inventory to meet Inventory Quality Ratio objectives.
  8. Drives timely actions to minimize deviations from the Supply Plan.
  9. Escalates issues promptly and uses good judgment to intervene as needed to meet KPIs for fill rates and inventory.
  10. Creates inventory projection reports for capacity planning and finance visibility on plan versus forecasts and working capital needs.

Job Requirements:

  1. University degree in Supply Chain, Computers, Data Analytics, or Engineering.
  2. Additional credentials like CPIM and Lean manufacturing are advantageous.
  3. At least 5 years of relevant supply planning experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing or CPG; transferable skills are acceptable.
  4. Experience with supply planning software, especially SAP-IBP, is desirable.
  5. Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
  6. Strong analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Customer-focused with results-driven attitude.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; capable of interpreting large data sets; high attention to detail.
  9. Experience with Power BI for data visualization is desirable.
  10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  12. Strong interpersonal skills
