Job summary

PepsiCo Canada is hiring for a Workforce Crewing Specialist to support dynamic manufacturing scheduling and employee data management in a high-speed environment. You will enter layoffs/excusals, plan overtime, and generate weekly crew displays across shifts and lines.

The role emphasizes accurate forecasting, 4-day advance scheduling communication to management, and proactive adjustments to keep production on track. Strong planning, organization, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • College’s diploma and relevant experience, preferably in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and influence management skills
  • Demonstrated planning and organization skills

Responsibilities

  • Updates in Workforce Management: enter layoffs and excusals; enter planned OT shifts; support employees with access issues to app and clock issues.
  • Generate Crewing Displays/Weekly Schedules: Paint / plan required crew per shift per day per line, assigning frontline work by classification; check DPP and KG Shift Planner for changes to production within shift and for shift following
  • Manage Master Database of Employees to ease Crewing: keep up to date all employee tracker, classifications, statuses (MOD, LOA, STD, LTD), Cross training, training classes, SET status, etc.
  • On-going Assessments of Crewing and Employee Forecast: Check employee forecast for shift following and 48 hours+ forecast and plan for modifications to schedule
  • Provide Visibility to Management on Weekly Schedules: Send out weekly schedules (Training, SETs, projects, etc.) to the Management Team 4 days prior to week start
  • Day-to-Day Crewing Display Changes: Monitor call ins / emails for absenteeism to rearrange schedule or schedule overtime where required for planned or unplanned gaps; Manage down-crewing where production changes occur as per CBA
  • Manage Planned & Unplanned Overtime: Responsible for statutory holiday sign-up sheets and overtime canvassing; call of predicted OT; support in calling for unplanned overtime
  • Manage Other Processes: Manage day in lieu process; Manage employee swipe card access; Manage fire system management (bypass, etc.); Manage Grainger vending access
  • Own and Execute Shift Bid Process: Work through mini bids; Execute Annual Shift Bid and Vacation Bid

Total Compensation: $49,000 - $79,870
