We are looking for a motivated and experienced Manager, Supply Chain – Contracts, Procurement & Inventory to join our team in Nisku, AB. Candidates based in AB near Nisku, or near our offices in Burnaby and Saskatoon will be considered.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain, the Manager, Supply Chain – Contracts, Procurement & Inventory oversees and optimizes supply chain processes related to contract lifecycle management, procurement, and inventory management. The role involves leading, developing, and mentoring a team of supply chain professionals to optimize spend segmentation, sourcing, contracts, supplier management, and delivery of materials and services, with a focus on reducing costs and improving efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of senior supply chain professionals responsible for contracting, procurement, and inventory management.
• Establish annual goals and work plans aimed at managing 80% of spend through formal contracts and preferred suppliers.
• Manage daily procurement activities.
• Oversee inventory strategies, including identifying slow-moving, surplus, and obsolete inventory.
• Develop procurement and contracting strategies to support current projects and future opportunities.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, quality issues, and supplier performance concerns.
• Manage the supply chain annual contract plan.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations to ensure effective communication and demand translation.
• Identify opportunities for process, people, and technology improvements.
• Monitor and report on KPIs.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in supply chain, contracting, procurement of mining equipment, major components, and inventory.
• Minimum 10+ years of leadership and supervisory experience.
