The successful candidate will bring a balance of strategic insight and hands-on execution, with a strong focus on process improvement, cost control, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Oversight:
  • Manage and guide a team of 3–5 procurement professionals.
  • Provide daily supervision, support employee development, and address performance or personnel matters.
  • Promote adherence to organizational values and ensure the effective rollout of policies and procedures.
  • Procurement & Inventory Management:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain procurement procedures in collaboration with senior leadership.
    • Create and monitor purchase orders, ensuring efficient inventory usage and cost-effectiveness.
    • Oversee the sourcing of materials, including non-stock items, and manage vendor relationships.
    • Ensure accuracy in invoice verification, system entries, and procurement trackers.
  • Process Improvement & Strategy:
    • Continuously evaluate and enhance supply chain processes to improve efficiency and service delivery.
    • Lead procurement projects, monitor milestones, and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
    • Support strategic initiatives and departmental innovation efforts, aligning procurement practices with broader organizational goals.
  • Logistics & Coordination:
    • Assist with freight and logistics coordination to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
    • Mitigate supply chain disruptions by proactively managing potential delays, shortages, or overages.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare and deliver monthly reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and cost analysis.
    • Provide operational support and coverage for the Director of Procurement as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • 4–5 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management.
    • 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity with a demonstrated ability to lead teams.
    • Post-secondary education in supply chain management, logistics, or a related discipline.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and experience with procurement software systems.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
    • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and service excellence.
    • Adaptability and flexibility to support changing business needs, including extended hours when required.
