THE ROLE

This position involves working within a team to manage materials, information, and procurement, driving strategic supply chain initiatives, and leading a supply chain team focused on continuous improvement. Responsibilities include optimizing inventory, reducing costs, and ensuring high-quality standards to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute a supply chain strategy aligned with company goals.
• Supplier management: Build and maintain relationships with North American suppliers, monitor performance metrics.
• Cost management: Implement strategies for cost reduction.
• Risk management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, develop contingency plans, and monitor market conditions.
• People management: Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team.
• Contract management: Negotiate and oversee supplier contracts, ensuring compliance and performance.
• Inventory management: Balance inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess.
• Procurement management: Oversee supplier selection, negotiations, and procurement processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure material availability.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with leadership experience in manufacturing or automotive sectors.
• Proven track record of achieving cost savings.
• Deep knowledge of supply chain management, contracts, and regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems and data analytics tools.
