Advance Wire Products Ltd. (AWP) is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our Surrey team.

The role focuses on taking awarded projects from Sales, entering items and COs in Infor for production, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery across multiple projects. Ideal candidates will have a diploma or degree in business/operations, 3+ years of project coordination in manufacturing, and strong MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in business or operations.
  • PM certification is an asset.
  • At least 3 years project coordination in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate projects from the Sales team and enter Items and COs in Infor for production processing and tracking.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, on-budget and within scope.
  • Track and analyze project performance and expenditures; report variances to management.
  • Define project scope and objectives with stakeholders; ensure technical feasibility.
  • Work with resource management on planning, availability and allocation for projects.
  • Translate project requirements into tasks, schedules and assignments.
  • Communicate changes to scope, schedule, and costs to management.
  • Track performance, cost, and schedule; propose action as needed.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Close project and hand over deliverables to operations.

This role oversees a variety of projects, monitoring progress, reporting variances and acting as liaison among stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities


  • Takes awarded projects from the Sales team and begins the process of ensuring Items and COs are entered in Infor for production processing and tracking;

  • Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, on-budget and within scope.

  • Tracks and analyzes projects’ performance and expenditures and reports variances to management.

  • Assists in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

  • Works with resource management on resource planning, availability and allocation for projects.

  • Translates project requirements into tasks, schedules and assigns tasks.

  • Communicates to management changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.

  • Tracks and analyzes project performance, cost performance, schedule and reports result to management. Makes recommendations for action.

  • Reports and escalates to management as needed.

  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation.

  • Closes project and documentation, passes project deliverables to operations.

  • Carries out other related tasks and projects as required.


Qualifications And Experience


  • Education: Diploma or Degree in business or operations. Project Management certification is an asset

  • Experience: At least 3 years project coordination preferably in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)

  • Strategic thinking/planning ability with a demonstrated track record in problem solving as well as seeking and creating solutions to challenges

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders and staff

  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and thrive in a changing, growing environment

  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong working relationships internally/externally

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Demonstrated high level of initiative

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail

Work Environment


  • Monday – Friday, flexible start time (8.5hr shift)
