Job summary

Chimo Youth Retreat Centre is launching a new Youth in Transition (YIT) Program for young adults aged 18 to 24, guiding them through up to 90 days of focused, practical support. The role begins in early November and requires a supervisor capable of making solid decisions under pressure and helping a team excel.

You will supervise coordinators, coordinate referrals, ensure safety, manage hours and budgets, and collaborate with the programming lead to deliver a unified program experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or related human services field.
• At least two years' frontline experience with young people involved with child intervention.
• Supervisory experience and sound judgment in a crisis.
• Comfort with numbers, systems and deadlines.

Lead a brand-new 1:1 service for young adults leaving care, from its very first week.

Chimo's new Youth in Transition (YIT) Program supports young adults aged 18 to 24 as they step into adulthood. Our 1:1 service offers up to 90 days of focused, practical support, and it opens in early November. We need a supervisor who can make good calls under pressure and help a team do its best work.

What you'll do

Good to know:

You'll need a clear Intervention Record and Police Information (Vulnerable Sector) checks. We provide the training you'll need before you start working with young adults.

This role involves driving, so you'll need

• to be at least 22 years of age.
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license
• to provide proven experience as a Driver (minimum 3 years driving and insurance history).
• to provide current auto insurance with $2 million liability and business use coverage with no at-fault accident claims in the past 3 years.
• to be eligibility for fleet insurance approval (driver's abstract must not have more than 2 convictions).
