Zusammenfassung

CHIMO Youth Retreat Centre seeks a dedicated youth worker to quickly build trusting relationships with each young adult referred to you, guiding them toward personal goals with practical steps.

You will connect clients with community supports and our group programming to sustain progress, support group sessions when your caseload allows, and contribute to a collaborative, compassionate team.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience supporting youth with complex needs.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage challenging situations.
• Lived experience of care or transition to adulthood is an asset.

What you'll do

What you bring

• A diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or a related human services field


• At least a year supporting youth or young adults with complex needs


• Patience, organization, and the ability to stay calm when things get hard


• Lived experience of care or of the transition to adulthood? That's an asset here.

Good to know:

You'll need a clear Intervention Record and Police Information (Vulnerable Sector) checks. We provide the training you'll need before you start working with young adults.

This role involves driving, so you'll need

• to be at least 22 years of age.


• A valid Class 5 driver's license


• to provide proven experience as a Driver (minimum 3 years driving and insurance history).


• to provide current auto insurance with $2 million liability and business use coverage with no at-fault accident claims in the past 3 years.


• to be eligibility for fleet insurance approval (driver's abstract must not have more than 2 convictions).
