The incumbent of this position is responsible for the optimal execution of production activities and the management of the production team to ensure that products are manufactured according to standards, technical specifications, and delivery timelines.

As a Production Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and overseeing the work of production employees while ensuring that quality and safety standards are met.
  • Identifying and providing the necessary training for each team member.
  • Acting as a technical reference for team members.
  • Ensuring that employees have the tools, accessories, and components required for their operations, in collaboration with the Director of Operational Performance for procurement.
  • Approving working hours, absences, and vacations for each employee under your supervision.
  • Monitoring employee performance and conducting regular performance evaluations in line with the company's performance review process.
  • Continuously assessing workload and communicating related challenges (delays, lead time changes, part shortages, etc.), while working closely with the Director of Operational Performance to recommend solutions.
  • Ensuring that all manufactured, assembled, and shipped products meet customer deadlines and quality requirements.
  • Collaborating with R&D and the Director of Operational Performance during the transition of new products into production.
  • Actively participating in the recruitment process and working with key stakeholders to optimize the onboarding of new employees.
  • Handling some inventory purchases, supplier returns, and managing relationships with certain suppliers.
  • Participating in production batch planning.
  • Actively contributing to inventory management and control.
  • Performing inventory and operational efficiency analyses and reporting findings to the Senior Director of Operations and Administration.
  • Managing storage space.
  • Collaborating daily with the Director of Operational Performance.
  • Performing any other related tasks tied to production management.

What makes you a strong asset to our team:

  • College diploma (D.E.C.) in physical technology, electronics, mechanics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing personnel in a manufacturing production environment.
  • Inventory management experience (an asset).
  • Inventory purchasing experience (an asset).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to multitask, make decisions, and build consensus.
  • Interest in learning the technological foundations of our systems.
  • Understanding of integrated technology systems (including software components) is a plus.
  • Rigor, teamwork, ability to explain methods and concepts clearly, autonomy, versatility, and flexibility.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong leadership, able to act as a change agent and facilitator.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team mobilization, and communication (oral and written).
  • Knowledge of SAGE or SAP accounting systems is an asset.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving methods in production and quality control (8D, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus.
  • Functional level of English, both spoken and written.
