About the job

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Supervisor, Digital Investment & Activation, to join our growing team. This person will be fluent in Paid Social marketing and have a broad understanding of Programmatic, Search (SEM), and Audio planning and execution.

What You’ll Do
  • Team Management and Paid Social Excellence – 25% Champion the team's adherence to all internal processes, from asset trafficking and taxonomy, to campaign setup and QA, ensuring a high standard of accuracy and operational excellence. Manage and develop junior team members, focusing on their growth in paid social strategy, platform expertise, and client communication. Provide ongoing, hands‑on training on social platform best practices, bidding strategies, audience tactics (e.g., custom audiences, lookalikes), and emerging social technologies. Lead the interview process for junior paid social roles.
  • Paid Social Strategy & Planning – 20% Develop complex paid social media strategies, from audience targeting and first‑party data application to inventory selection and measurement across all major platforms. Lead the creation of paid social recommendations for client presentations, translating complex platform capabilities into clear, actionable plans. Incorporate data from Horizon’s planning tools and insights from social platforms to build data‑driven, full‑funnel paid social approaches. Lead brainstorms to bring innovative social ideas to life, including new ad formats (e.g., Reels, TikToks), creator/influencer amplification, social commerce, and measurement opportunities (e.g., brand lift studies, conversion lift). Monitor trends in the social ecosystem (e.g., privacy updates/iOS changes, platform algorithm shifts, new shopping features) and apply that knowledge to evolve client strategies.
  • Campaign Management & Execution – 20% Set up paid social campaigns, including configuring targeting, bids, budgets, dynamic creative assets, and tracking prior to QA. Act as the final checkpoint for campaign setups, ensuring meticulous QA before launch across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc. Act as an escalation point for the team on complex campaign challenges, from performance plateaus to tracking, API, and attribution issues. Ensure proper protocol for pixel implementation, Conversions API (CAPI), and event tracking is followed by junior team members to guarantee data accuracy. Act as a key resource for the team on in‑flight campaign pacing, troubleshooting, brand safety validation, and optimization challenges.
  • Relationship Management – 10% Foster strong relationships with key social platform partners (Meta, TikTok, Snap, Pinterest, LinkedIn, X) to unlock strategic opportunities, explore new beta tests, and resolve technical issues. Act as a primary paid social resource and trusted partner for clients in addition to the AD, confidently leading discussions on campaign performance, optimizations & strategies. Facilitate seamless collaboration between the paid social team and other internal departments (Ad Ops, Planning, Analytics, Creative, etc.)
  • Social Buying & Partnership Activation – 10% Oversee the buying process, from setting up auction‑based campaigns to securing reserved/reach and frequency buys. Act as the final point of escalation for partner negotiations, focusing on driving value beyond standard metrics, including Joint Business Plan (JBP) added value and early alpha/beta access. Act as a strong advocate for agency‑preferred partners, ensuring their strategic value is integrated into paid social media plans from the initial planning stage.
  • Reporting & Analysis – 15% Guide the team to move beyond top‑line reporting and deliver deep, data‑driven insights from within the social platforms, connecting performance back to strategic goals. Act as the primary resource for junior team members as they develop optimization strategies based on performance data across various ad formats (video, carousel, static, collection). Take ownership of the accurate delivery and clear presentation of all paid social performance analyses to the client.
Who You Are
  • A strong communicator and presenter, able to make complex paid social concepts simple and clear.
  • A left‑and right‑brain thinker, balancing data‑driven analysis with creative strategy.
  • A collaborative, team‑oriented manager with strong delegation and organization skills.
  • A proactive problem‑solver with the foresight to anticipate campaign and team challenges.
  • Meticulously detail‑oriented, especially when it comes to campaign setup and QA.
  • Nimble and flexible to succeed in the fast‑paced, ever‑changing social media environment.
  • Excited to lead, coach, and mentor the next generation of paid social experts.
  • An advocate for and supporter of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

  • Strong expertise with all social buying methods (Auction, Reach & Frequency, Reservation).
  • Thorough understanding of social tracking pixels, server‑to‑server integrations (CAPI), product feeds, and third‑party verification tools within walled gardens.
  • Proven ability to manage large‑scale budgets, troubleshoot delivery issues, and optimize campaigns toward strict ROI/CPA goals.
