Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director of Cage and Credit, the incumbent assists in managing and guiding department staff; evaluates applications for lines of credit and makes appropriate decisions to approve, deny, or modify; refers requests over a pre-determined dollar amount to the Director of Cage and Credit.

Essential Functions
  • Prepares and types correspondences, forms, reports, charts, and graphs.
  • Sets up and maintains all files, records, and logs as required.
  • Handles telephone calls and mail correspondence professionally and efficiently.
  • Participates in processing customer credit applications, including verification of bank and credit information.
  • Maintains credit files and reports, reviews applications for completeness, and ensures background checks are properly completed.
  • Monitors compliance with regulations and company policies, including AML/FINTRAC regulations.
  • Oversees department operations, including staffing, inventory, and expense management.
  • Ensures staff are knowledgeable about fraud prevention and scams.
  • Participates in hiring, training, and succession planning.
  • Leads guest service initiatives and responds to guest and employee complaints effectively.
  • Coordinates scheduling and payroll issues, and reviews operational efficiencies.
  • Ensures asset security in Cage Operations and collaborates with casino departments for smooth communication.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years managerial or supervisory experience, preferably in a high-volume casino cage or banking environment.
  • Proficiency with computer software and multitasking under time constraints.
Skills
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and managerial skills.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
  • Work primarily in a regulated environment, with occasional presence on the casino floor where noise levels may be high.
