    Hours: 37.5 hours per week
    Shifts: Weekdays, Monday - Friday
    Status: Permanent Full Time

    Position Summary
    As a vital member of the laboratory management team, the supervisor oversees the daily operations of the clinical anatomic pathology laboratories and digital pathology services.

    Duties

    • Direct supervision of personnel
    • Development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures
    • Assisting with budget preparation
    • Managing laboratory equipment and products
    • Facilitating access to educational programs for assigned staff, including development and education aligned with clinical operations supporting an autopsy center of excellence, and understanding current market trends in artificial intelligence and advanced diagnostic test development

    Qualifications

    • Completion of a 3-year community college program in medical laboratory technology or recognized equivalent
    • Bachelor's degree in Business or Health Administration or a recognized equivalent (required), with a Master's degree preferred
    • Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) or Canadian Certification Council of Pathologists' Assistants (CCCPA)
    • Minimum four years of practical and related experience
    • Two years supervisory experience in a laboratory setting
    • Experience with Epic Beaker (asset)
    • Knowledge of digital pathology systems and their integration with laboratory workflow
    • Ability to develop and deliver educational programs and training sessions
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards for test development in pathology
    • Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple projects to meet deadlines
    • Committed to professional self-development
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders
