Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an Office Supervisor for our Sainte-Catherine, QC site. The role oversees all operations including drivers and yard management, ensuring compliance with Act 430 and maintaining a safe workplace for employees.

You will collaborate with the office management team to plan operations, manage documentation, conduct truck inspections, and respond to emergencies as needed, while supporting morning departures and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a worksite and unionized staff.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to understand problems and resolve or address them strategically.
• Understanding of corporate safety and compliance policies.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and Act 430.
• Proficiency with Windows applications (Word, Excel, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the office management team to plan operations and manage emergencies.
• Manage unionized drivers, conduct truck inspections, ensure documentation compliance, and perform all other required tasks.
• Manage projects at client sites or respond to emergency calls as needed.
• Ensure the smooth operation of morning departures; assist or replace the dispatcher as needed; manage the yard and physical inventory.
• Investigate and resolve complaints or operational issues.
• Report work-related incidents/accidents to your immediate supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as required by the company.

Our Sainte-Catherine, QC (south shore) site is currently for an Office Supervisor.

The person in this position is responsible for all operations, including both drivers and yard management—with regard to compliance with Act 430, company policies, and the safety of the premises and employees.
