Job summary

Hitachi Energy Canada Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor in Varennes, QC to lead a night shift lineup and drive safe, efficient production. You will guide a team, ensure production plans are met, and foster continuous improvement in a unionized setting.

The role requires a college degree in operations management, 5–8 years of supervision, and strong leadership and communication skills, with English and French proficiency. Work authorization in Canada is required.

Qualifications

  • College or university degree in operations management or related field.
  • 5–8 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge and/or Lean 6-Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Experience in a unionized environment.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • English and French language skills required.

Votre expériences :
  • Diplôme collégial ou universitaire en gestion des opérations ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • De 5 à 8 ans d’expérience en supervision dans un environnement manufacturier.
  • Connaissance de la fabrication allégée ou certification Lean 6-Sigma, un atout.
  • Expérience dans un milieu syndiqué.
  • Solides compétences en leadership, en résolution de problèmes et en communication.
  • Communication fréquente avec les partenaires internes et externes, les clients et les intervenants situés à l’extérieur du Québec.
  • Connaissance de l’anglais, en plus du français, requise pour répondre aux exigences opérationnelles du poste et assurer une collaboration et un service à la clientèle efficaces.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday from 12:30am to 7:30am

  • Frequent communication with internal and external partners, customers, and stakeholders located outside Quebec.
  • Knowledge of English, in addition to French, is required to fulfill the operational requirements of the role and ensure effective collaboration and client service.
