Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Shipping Supervisor provides hands-on leadership on his shift in the shipping team to ensure that shipping guidelines are met safely and on time, and this in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead by example and foster an environment of mutual respect and teamwork.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and provide feedback to team leaders.
- Lead team leaders in addition to the expedition team.
- Ensure schedules are met and address issues that may arise.
- Coordinate schedules, products and labor of different departments to ensure the smooth running of shipping within the factory.
- Verify that appropriate methods and procedures are used and that quality, safety and environmental standards are respected.
- Lead, train, and coach team leaders and other team members as needed.
- Ensures a safe working environment is maintained at all times by enforcing company standards and regular inspections.
- Assist with all testing of new equipment, methods and/or products, as well as troubleshooting processes and equipment.
- Use SAP and other related systems and processes to help achieve shipping goals.
- Assist the team leader in ensuring KPIs are achieved daily.
- Follow and apply all GMP and safety procedures as outlined by Wonderbrands.
- Additional responsibilities may be added to better meet business needs.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education an asset (operations management, business administration, engineering, etc.).
- 3-5 years' frontline leader experience preferred.
- Forklift license/certification an asset.
- Bright, motivated and clear about your future career goals.
- Ability to learn quickly, ambitious and come up with new innovative ideas.
- Positive attitude and results-oriented mindset.
- A leader who interacts easily with others and is adept at leading and motivating a team to meet schedule requirements.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, as well as simple mathematical abilities.
- Work well and support a team environment.
- Flexible to work days, afternoons, nights and weekends as needed.
