Job summary

TELUS Health Children Support in Toronto is seeking two passionate Instructor Therapists to support pediatric clients with autism spectrum disorder. You will implement ABA programs to develop communication, social, and life skills while reducing challenging behaviors in a fun, supportive clinical setting.

You will collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists, collect and graph real-time data, and help families generalize skills across settings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ABA principles, practices, and procedures.
• Experience delivering 1-on-1 clinical interventions with children/teens.
• Ability to collect and graph data to guide clinical decisions.
• Experience collaborating with SLPs and OTs in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and stay organized.

Supervised Instructor Therapist

We are seeking two passionate and dedicated Instructor Therapist’s to join our team, specializing in pediatric care for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). As an Instructor Therapist at TELUS Health Children Support, you will play a crucial role in helping children achieve developmental milestones, enhance independence, and improve their quality of life through targeted therapy interventions.

Your responsibilities

Your primary role is to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs to help children develop communication, social, and life skills while reducing challenging behaviors in a fun, supportive environment.

• 1-on-1 Clinical Intervention: Deliver individualized behavioral programming using evidence-based strategies like Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Natural Environment Teaching (NET).
• Data-Driven Progress: Accurately collect and graph real-time data on learner performance to ensure clinical decisions are based on objective evidence.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Occupational Therapists (OTs) to generalize skills across different therapeutic domains.
• Behavior Support: Implement Positive Behavior Support plans to help children safely navigate frustration and develop emotional regulation skills.
• Environment Management: Prepare instructional materials and maintain a clean, organized, and engaging treatment space.

Required Qualifications

• You have completed post-secondary in related field or have equivalent work related experience;
• Experience working with children and teens with a developmental disability diagnosis or similar
• Comprehensive knowledge of ABA principles, practices, and procedures
• Previous in-clinic experience supporting a pediatric population
• Excellent clinical and professional judgment aligned with accepted practice models
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize workload, and adapt to a dynamic caseload

Terms:

• Full-Time Commitment: 37.5 hours/week | Tuesday–Saturday

Salary Range: $40,000 - $48,000 - based on experience and qualifications
