Job summary

Mosaic is seeking a Superintendent, Maintenance at Esterhazy, SK to lead site maintenance and operations. You will manage prior­itization, scheduling, and outside contractors to ensure optimal run plans, throughput, and downtime recovery, while upholding safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates hold 8+ years in maintenance, a related engineering degree, and SAP/MS Office experience; PE or Journeyman Machinist is a plus. This on-site role requires collaboration with field teams.

Qualifications

• High School/GED; Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical) or Engineering Technology preferred.
• 8+ years in a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) in US/Canada a plus.
• Journeyman Machinist in US/Canada a plus.
• 3+ years in Plant Maintenance.
• 3+ years in SAP.
• 3+ years in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of site operations; optimize run plan and throughput.
• Lead and coach Leads and Shift Supervisors; ensure safety, asset use, and system entries.
• Coordinate with site to troubleshoot issues.
• Direct Shift Maintenance/operational activities nights and weekends; allocate equipment resources.
• Facilitate Daily, Weekly, Monthly Operations Meetings.

Superintendent, Maintenance

Where will you work: - Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, Canada

About the role

The Superintendent, Maintenance will lead and manage all aspects of the work prioritization and scheduling processes. This includes hiring and managing outside contractors as required to complete the required work on site. Additionally, to work prioritizations short and long term activities and planning for the tailings management area and brine management facilities.

What will you do?

• Oversight of the site by monitoring/directing the field and plant operations to execute the shift run plan. Coordinate with site teams to optimize run plan and tons per hour to plant, as well as capitalize on any downtime opportunities. Adapting and making sound decisions when the run plan needs to be modified and communicating changes.
• Manage, coach, and oversee the Leads and Shift Supervisors and partner with Workflow, and ensure their responsibilities are carried out (Safety and environmental compliance, operational updates, Asset Utilization, various systems Operating Hours, Intelex and Maximo entries, Call Outs, managing the hourly workforce).
• Coordinate with the site to troubleshoot issues when they arise.
• Manage and provide direction for Shift Maintenance/operational activities (nights and weekends) as well as deploying equipment resources as needed.
• Facilitate Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Operations Meetings.

What do you need for this role?

• High School/GED. Bachelor’s in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in a related field
• US/ Canada - Professional Engineer (PE) a plus
• US/ Canada - Journeyman Machinist a plus
• 3+ years of experience in Plant Maintenance
• 3+ years of experience with SAP
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
