Job summary

Black Rock Oceanfront Resort in Ucluelet, BC, is seeking a friendly Breakfast Server for Currents Restaurant to greet guests and set a positive tone for their resort stay.

You will provide attentive, efficient service during breakfast hours, with a focus on accuracy, timing, and guest satisfaction. This role involves upselling and coordinating with culinary and FOH teams in a fast-paced, coastal setting.

Qualifications

• A strong commitment to guest satisfaction and a professional appearance.
• Previous server experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand/move for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Current Serving It Right certification or willingness to obtain.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming, attentive service from arrival to payment.
• Take orders accurately and deliver food/drinks promptly, with upselling when appropriate.
• Coordinate with Culinary and Front of House teams to ensure quality and timing.
• Handle cash, credit, and room charges with accuracy.
• Keep dining area clean and presentable at all times.
• Assist with side duties and space resets for opening/closing.
• Share information about resort amenities and local attractions.
