Job summary

Qualicare Homecare in Toronto is seeking a reliable PSW to cover a long-term Sunday shift from 10:00 AM–6:00 PM for a client near Avenue Rd & Lawrence in North York. The role requires commitment to every Sunday for at least 6 months, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts with other clients on other days.

The position offers part-time flexibility, a supportive team environment, and opportunities for growth within a caring organization focused on client well-being and staff development.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Personal Support Worker Certificate.
• CPR/First Aid Certification is current.
• Clear Police Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Screening) or willingness to obtain one.
• TB test negative or chest X-ray clear.
• Reliable internet access and a mobile phone.

Responsibilities

• Assist with morning and evening care routines.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist clients with ambulation, outings, and errands.
• Support with medication reminders and basic health tasks.
• Follow and update care plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting.
• Help clients manage daily activities with care and dignity.

Education
