Job summary

Qualicare Homecare is seeking compassionate Personal Support Workers/Caregivers to provide personalized care in North York, Toronto. You will report to the Care Coordinator and deliver services that meet each client’s unique needs in a safe, caring environment.

Current client needs include 12-hour day shifts, 7 days a week, with 2-3 caregivers splitting the week. Shifts run 8am–8pm at locations around Bloor & Avenue.

Qualifications

• PSW Certificate or equivalent for caregiving role.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification required.
• Clear Police Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) or willingness to obtain one.
• TB test negative or chest X-ray.
• Reliable internet access and a mobile phone.
• Experience with Dementia/Alzheimer’s care is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with morning and evening care routines.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping to ensure a comfortable home environment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist clients with ambulation, outings, and errands.
• Support with medication reminders and basic health tasks.
• Follow and update care plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting.
• Help clients manage daily activities with care and dignity.
