Job summary

Qualicare Homecare is seeking a compassionate Personal Support Worker/Caregiver to join our North York team. You will provide personalized care and support to clients in a respectful, safe environment, with Saturday shifts from 12pm to 5pm.

The client is female, in a retirement home, and assistance includes organizing a room and socialization. Additional client opportunities may be available on other days, across Bathurst & Clark Ave.

Qualifications

• PSW certificate or equivalent is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• Clear Police Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) or willingness to obtain one.
• Covid vaccination (2 doses) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with morning and evening care routines.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping to ensure a comfortable home environment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist clients with ambulation, outings, and errands.
• Support with medication reminders and basic health tasks.
• Follow and update care plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting.
• Help clients manage daily activities with care and dignity.

Job Summary

As a Personal Support Worker/Caregiver, you’ll play a key role in improving the lives of our clients by providing personalized care and support. Reporting to the Care Coordinator, you’ll deliver services that meet each client’s unique needs in a safe and caring environment. We are looking to add a psw to our team who can take on a client for saturdays 12pm-5pm. Female client, lives in retirement home, autistic, needs someone to help organize room once a week and to assist with socialization. You will also have the ability to pick up other clients on other days. Client location: Bathurst & Clark Avenue.
