Job description

We are looking for a Back Parts Counter Advisor to join our growing team! As an Automotive Back Parts Counter Advisor, you will play a crucial role in managing and organizing our parts inventory, assisting technicians, and ensuring that our parts department operates efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of automotive parts and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receive, organize, and manage parts inventory. Ensure stock levels are maintained and reorder parts as necessary.
2. Accurately identify and locate automotive parts using catalogs and computer systems.
3. Assist technicians and service staff with parts needs, including locating and recommending appropriate parts.
4. Process parts orders and handle parts returns, exchanges, and warranties.
5. Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, inventory levels, and special orders.
6. Work closely with other departments to ensure timely and accurate parts supply for service and repair needs.
7. Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding parts.

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

1. 2-3 years parts counter, technician or equivalent experience (FCA experience preferred).
2. Completion of a related post-secondary program and/or training courses is considered an asset.
3. Experience with CDK, MPI Edge, and Star Parts is considered an asset.
4. A detailed understanding of Parts and Service operations and inventory management.
5. A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
7. A person of professionalism and high integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honors their commitments.
8. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and resourceful.
9. High-level skills in Word, Excel, and MS Office.
10. Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time.
11. Must possess a valid driver's license and have a safe driving history.
