AltaLink in Calgary is seeking a Summer Student to join the Customer Operations team. You will support invoicing, reporting and general administrative tasks while gaining exposure to service improvement initiatives.

The position runs for 4 months starting May 2027, with a focus on teamwork, data analysis and delivering quality customer service to Alberta communities.

Formación

• University student who has completed at least 3 years of study towards a Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent program.
• Marketing and customer service experience is preferred.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
• SharePoint administration experience will be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform tools will be considered a strong asset.
• Proven ability/experience in the above noted responsibilities.
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive customer outcomes.
• Proven track record of good attendance and job performance.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Customer Operations the Summer Student will provide support to the AltaLink Customer Operations Team.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of customer invoicing and other financial customer documents;
• Preparation and review of customer weekly reports;
• Provide administrative support to various areas in the department;
• Support the delivery of service improvement initiatives;
• Business process development and analysis;
• Gathering and analyzing data and making recommendations;
• Provide vacation coverage and special project responsibilities depending upon the projects which are assigned.

Qualifications:
