Job summary

MNP is seeking a Summer Student for Agronomy to gain hands-on experience in field scouting, crop assessments, and data collection across multiple regions in Canada. This role offers exposure to precision agronomy practices, with mentorship from seasoned agronomists.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education (agriculture preferred but not required).
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Willingness to work outdoors and overtime during peak season.
• Able to work independently within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field scouting visits regarding plant stand/establishment, herbicide timing/efficacy, insect and disease management checks.
• Perform plant stand counts & VR crop assessments.
• Perform research trial analysis and data collection.
• Participate and help organize crop tours, and attend industry agronomy/product tours during summer.
• Convey key information from the field to an experienced Agronomist to assist customers.

Make an impact with our Agronomy team as a Summer Student in 2027 from May 3 to August 27. Positions available in our Biggar/Rosetown/Plenty region, our Regina region and our Brandon/Winnipeg region. Role Accountabilities And Responsibilities

• Conduct field scouting visits regarding plant stand/establishment, herbicide timing/efficacy, insect and disease management checks.
• Performing plant stand counts & VR crop assessments.
• Performing research trial analysis and data collection.
• Participate and help organize crop tours, as well as attend industry agronomy and product tours throughout the summer.
• This person will not provide any recommendations to our customers but will work in conjunction with an experienced Agronomist to convey key information from the field in order to help them do so.

Skills And Experience

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education. Agriculture is preferred but not required.

• Duties will require independent work within a team atmosphere.
