Job summary

Paramount Resources Ltd. is seeking an Operations Engineering Student in their 2nd or 3rd year to join the Central Alhambra Region for a May–August 2027 term.

You will gain hands-on field experience, learning equipment and processing facilities while supporting safe and efficient operations. You will be mentored by a Senior Engineer, monitor wells, compressors, lifts, and pipelines, and develop knowledge of site operations.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year of Mechanical, Petroleum, Energy, Chemical, or Oil & Gas Engineering.
• Attending a Canadian post-secondary institution with an accredited Engineering Program.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, inspect, troubleshoot, and optimize wells, compressors, lifts, and pipelines.
• Develop knowledge of equipment and recovery steps for field sites and facilities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Production and Exploitation teams on field support.
• Assist engineers with project tasks, compliance, data capture and asset management.
• Interpret and build P&ID diagrams to support troubleshooting and plant expansions.
