Job summary

TAQA North in Calgary invites applications for an Operations Engineering Summer Student for the May–August 2027 term. You will work with our Engineering team, gaining exposure to day-to-day operations and capital projects while supporting field Operations staff from our Calgary office with occasional field travel.

You’ll update As-Built drawings, learn process calculations, assist with management of change, and help scope and execute projects, developing strong communication and organizational

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an Engineering bachelor’s degree program.
Preference for 2nd–4th year Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering.
Must be returning to full-time studies after the work term.
Must provide transcript and be eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

Update facility As-Built drawings and redlines for projects.
Learn process engineering calculations and support field data gathering.
Assist with management of change projects and document control.
Support Operations Engineers with project scoping, design and execution.
Support Operations personnel with engineering support.
Chase OPEX reduction initiatives.
