Job summary

Central Ontario FS, a division of GROWMARK, Inc., is offering a summer internship in agronomy designed for students seeking first-hand field experience. You will scout in the fields, assist with weed ID, crop staging, insects and diseases, and use IPM techniques to document observations.

Represent the company in growers' fields and on the road, while learning about agronomy, production agriculture, and how we deliver practical solutions to local producers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an agriculture-related college or university program.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid drivers license (Full G) and be willing to travel.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons.
• Comfort with outdoor work and walking crop fields.

Responsibilities

• Use IPM techniques, satellite imagery, and GPS to document field notes.
• Represent Central Ontario FS in grower fields and on the road.
• Gain hands-on experience in agronomy while learning about weed ID, crop staging, insects and diseases.
• Work summers with tools provided to support field activities.
