Central Ontario FS, a division of GROWMARK, Inc., offers a summer internship in agronomy to gain first-hand field experience. You will scout crops, document field notes using IPM techniques, GPS imagery and satellite data while representing the company in growers' fields.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an agriculture-related program, 18+ years old, with strong communication, collaboration and decision-making skills, and able to travel with a valid G license.

REQUIREMENTS

• - Normally requires an individual currently enrolled in an agriculture-related college or university program, who possesses a basic understanding of production agriculture.
• - Must be at least 18 years of age.
• - Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
• - Must have and maintain a valid driver's license (Full G), a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to travel independently as needed.
• - Occasionally exposed or required to work in extreme conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
• - Must be able to walk crop fields and conduct visual inspections of crops.
• - Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
• - May be required to work extended hours, particularly during peak seasons.
