CMHC in Canada is offering Fall internship opportunities from May to August 2027. This paid internship provides hands-on learning, access to training resources, and networking sessions to build your data analytics skills.

You will join teams in Risk Management - Operations, Enterprise Data & Analytics, and Data Infrastructure to gain exposure to data migration, governance, and reporting. A hybrid workplace with some in-office presence is expected.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• Experience in data analytics or related coursework.
• Ability to program in Python.
• Strong written and oral communication, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Support data migration, data engineering, data quality and information management activities.
• Analyze data and contribute to reporting, research and program evaluation activities.
• Support data governance initiatives, including data classification, quality reviews and the identification of gaps or accuracy issues.
• Document and map business processes and develop clear procedures and step‑by‑step guidance.
• Create and maintain documentation, training materials and other resources as tools and processes evolve.
• Support the organization and maintenance of SharePoint sites and information repositories.
• Work with colleagues and business partners to improve data quality, information management practices and related processes.

What you’ll do

• Support data migration, data engineering, data quality and information management activities.
• Analyze data and contribute to reporting, research and program evaluation activities.
• Support data governance initiatives, including data classification, quality reviews and the identification of gaps or accuracy issues.
• Document and map business processes and develop clear procedures and step‑by‑step guidance.

What you should have

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a University degree in a related discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or other related field.
• Previous experience and knowledge of data analytics.
• Experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience or volunteer activities.
• The ability to program in Python.
• Strong oral and written communication, excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.

It would be nice if you also had

• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset, but not required.
• Experience with SQL, SAS and R.
• Experience with Sharepoint and Power BI Dashboards (Oversight).
