Job summary

Northland School Division seeks Substitute Teachers at Chipewyan Lake School for the 2024-2025 school year. Chipewyan Lake School serves kindergarten to grade 9 and is located along Chipewyan Lake, about 110 km from Wabasca-Desmarais, Alberta.

Responsibilities include following the prescribed program, planning daily lessons, providing timely feedback to students and parents, and championing Cree language and culture revitalization.

Qualifications

• Must hold or qualify for Alberta teaching certification and a Teaching Quality Standard certificate.
• Must hold a Bachelor of Education (BEd.) degree.
• Successful years of teaching experience in rural and/or Indigenous communities.
