Job summary

Edmonton Islamic Academy in Edmonton, Alberta, seeks Substitute Arabic and Islamic Studies Teachers to join our dynamic Pre-K to 12 school community serving over 1,400 students. The role involves delivering pre-planned lessons, supervising students, and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Qualified candidates will hold a valid teaching certificate and be able to support Alberta Education curriculum.

• Assume the responsibilities of the Arabic or Islamic Studies Teacher when the regular teacher is absent
• Communicate, collaborate, and cooperate effectively with classroom teachers, colleagues, administration, and students
• Deliver prepared course content and provide academic support and student supervision throughout the school day
• Maintain appropriate classroom management and support a positive learning environment
• Maintain and respect the confidentiality of student, staff, and school information
• Follow and support all school policies, procedures, and expectations
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or Assistant Principal

Currently seeking Substitute Arabic and Islamic Studies Teachers to join our team.
